Advertising

Currently, I have decided to not run any advertising on Oral Answers.

Right now, the hosting fees are cheap enough that I can afford to pay them even as a poor dental student.

When I started Oral Answers, my main goal wasn't to make a ton of money with it; I simply want to help others to improve their oral health.

With that said, there may come a time in the future where I would have to start putting advertising up on the site.  If I do, it would be because the site has gotten busy enough to the point that I would have to upgrade the hosting to a more expensive plan.

UPDATE 9/9/2010: I have put advertising up on articles that are older than 14 days.  It is only a small ad at the very top of the post that will hopefully be relevant to readers' interests.  The site is picking up in popularity (thanks to those of you who refer friends and family here!), and I am anticipating upgrading my hosting plan very soon.  I put the ads on the older pages so that the regular readers won't even see them.  Hopefully, by putting the ads on the older pages they will be unobtrusive.
